Hi there!

Some know me as a grammar nerd or as the kid who used to edit their English papers. Either way, I’m just a human who appreciates the power of language—how we shape it and how it shapes us.

Professionally, I am a technical writer and writing coach who pursues a love of linguistics and education. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Bachelor of the Arts—majoring in Linguistics, English, and Comparative Literature.

As a technical writer, I bridge the gap between technology and the people who use it, empowering individuals to confidently navigate and understand software. At HealthStream, I create training and educational materials—including end-user documentation and eLearning courses—for healthcare software products used by clinicians nationwide. These resources help medical professionals harness technology with ease, enabling them to focus on what matters most: patient care.

As a writing coach, I mentor individuals to effectively communicate in their professional, academic, and personal writing. My goal is not just to refine a single piece of writing but to develop stronger, more confident writers. By teaching strategies and critical thinking skills, I help others achieve their writing goals while fostering long-term growth.

Despite my love for language, outer space was my first love, and architecture my second; the child inside couldn’t decide whether he wanted to study structures or fly to the stars. The composition and structure of galaxies will always fascinate me, as I often find myself exploring all the tiny, interdependent parts that create the grand displays of the universe. And that’s probably why I am interested in the systematic structure of language, for I have this burning curiosity to investigate the mysteries that abundantly craft our world.

Because I intimately combine language and education in my pursuits, I enjoy helping people refine their communication and literacy skills. We become more independent, articulate, and knowledgeable when we cultivate our education, read and write, and practice new skills.

The blog here on this site expresses my journey as a 27-year-old who’s learning, exploring, and enjoying life. What fun would it be if you had it all figured out in your 20s? In fact, what fun would life be if you had absolutely everything figured out all the time?

So be wild—and never, ever take yourself too seriously.
